I somewhat naively posted in another place a message to say that Marcus, who we probably all know from the 2 markets, had opened a shop to sell DVD Video and Books, stamps antiques and many other items. He still rents and exchanges the former items. I am informed that a plug for a business is not the done thing but regardless of that I was also told that they allegedly are some sort of sponsor to the market. First time I had heard of that and probably from the comments I have had not the last.
I consider Marcus a friend and wish him well with his business which is situate on the road leading up St Georges Hill taking the first left fork. The shop is called Topaz and he is open to selling items for people as they did in the days of Thrift Shops selling on an agreed commission.
We sell DVD video and games but at no point did anyone concern with that issue merely the books which is quite strange. I suppose it is all down to some sort of greed but I will continue to promote a friends business and do anything I can to help. It is the least I can do.
Finally more good news is that GB Foods are opening another shop on the road from traffic lights just past Carrefour where there used to be another UK shop. Oddly a message posted elsewhere about the cheap prices at Poplife remains unanswered or challenged.
Happy New Year to you all.
